Masterpiece Mystery! Foyle's War
Sunday, July 13 at 9 p.m.
A good man is hard to find, even harder to let go. But that's the case for Inspector Christopher Foyle (Michael Kitchen), who sneaks away from fans after three new and final episodes this season.
Foyle's War has been described by The Wall Street Journal as "a triumph from start to finish," but the end has come for the popular World War II whodunit. It's April 1944, and victory is at hand for the Allies. Underneath the swell of anticipation and relief lurk resentment, recrimination and regret.
A year has passed since Foyle abruptly resigned from his position as Detective Chief Superintendent of Hastings Police, and his former colleagues are still struggling to adjust to life without him. While Foyle plods away on a writing project, Sergeant Paul Milner (Anthony Howell) is contemplating leaving the force and Samantha Stewart (Honeysuckle Weeks) is at loose ends after having been fired by Foyle's replacement.
Plan of Attack
Sunday, July 13 at 9 p.m. Foyle has resigned as Detective, but returns when his replacement is killed outside of the station.

Part 2: A lethal climate change that began in the year 535 A.D. affected the world decades after. There are three possible causes for the huge amounts of dust, ash and water vapor that were hurled into the atmosphere, blocking the sun: a comet, an asteroid or a volcano, possibly the notorious Krakatoa.
