Brooklyn native Frank Cretella, who has been a Lee Tran bus driver for 17 years, noticed a recent change at the Rosa Parks Transportation Center in downtown Fort Myers, and all over the city: more people are peddling to the bus station so they can travel via a combination of mass transit and bicycle. Smoothie King expands in Fort Myers
Smoothie King, the originator of the nutritional fruit-based smoothie, opened the doors to Fort Myers' second lifestyle center at 8595 College Parkway, in the College Park Plaza. Super Target anchors $55 million Shopping Center
St. Louis-based The DESCO Group will open its $55 million The Plaza at Island Pass retail center in Fort Myers this month. Located minutes from Sanibel and Captiva Islands, the 252,620-squarefoot shopping center is anchored by a Super Target and will host an additional 10 to 15 stores and restaurants. Full Story
