Last week's trivia answer
My roots go back to the early 1900s and the Computing-Tabulating-Recording Co. (C-R-T), which made everything from cheese slicers to census tabulators and punched cards. I even sold an industrial welder in the 1960s. Today I rake in nearly $100 billion in sales and $10 billion in net profits annually. I introduced the first "floppy" disk drive in 1971 and sold my typewriter business in 1991. I employ more than 300,000 people and have close to 600,000 stockholders. I was one of the first companies to offer my employees life insurance and paid vacations. Who am I?
(Answer: IBM)
