Coldwell Banker reports 84 percent increase in sales

Firm says buyers are getting back into the market
SPECIAL TO FLORIDA WEEKLY

Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, Southwest Florida, reported that its May sales were 84 percent better than May 2007.

"May's sales results provide clear evidence that buyers are beginning to enter the market in numbers we haven't seen in some time. Rates remain historically low and pricing is at a point where home buyers are taking advantage of the exceptional values available in the market," said Charles Richardson, Regional Senior Vice President, Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, Southwest Florida.

According to local MLS data, Charlotte, Collier and Lee County sales are up 28 percent over May of 2007.

To capitalize on consumer demand for information about foreclosed properties, the company recently added bank ownedforeclosed search to its Web site, Florida- Moves.com. The site comprises over 4,300 bank owned-foreclosed properties and over 325,000 homes for sale from Florida's most sought after markets including Bonita Springs, Cape Coral, Clearwater, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Miami, Naples, Orlando, Palm Beach, Punta Gorda, Sarasota, St. Petersburg and Tampa.
