Baquero Dr. Washington Baquero, M.D., has been elected to lead

Edison College's District Board of Trustees for the 2008-09 fiscal year. Baquero, who lives in Fort Myers, was unanimously elected to the post at the board's June meeting following a one-year term as vice chairman. Randall Parrish, Jr., O.D., of LaBelle, was elected the new vice chairman. Baquero, a general practitioner specializing in gerontology through his practice in Fort Myers, has served as an Edison College trustee since 1997. He steps into the leadership post previously held by Mahlan Houghton, also of Fort Myers, who was recognized for his dedication to the board, the college and its students.
