Clyde Butcher exhibit coming to Fort Myers

Clyde Butcher The Southwest Florida Museum of History will host an exhibit by renowned black and white photographer Clyde Butcher beginning Aug. 14.
Butcher will debut a new exhibit, "Visions of Florida - A Clyde Butcher Retrospective."
The award-winning, black and white fine art photographer will display his iconic landscapes in a special exhibition of 30 to 40 pieces comprised of Giclees and some original silver gelatin photographs that show images mostly of Florida but will also include images from the "America the Beautiful" collection.
"Wilderness, to me, is a spiritual necessity,' said Butcher who has made photographing nature his life's work.
The exhibit will include running video of Butcher's work and methods and the museum store will also feature several kinds of merchandise of Clyde Butcher along with information about his annual trip thru the Everglades, "Muck About" on Aug. 30-Sept. 1.

The museum's popular Author Evening series returns in September and will feature Butcher as the featured Author on Oct. 8.
