GATES is pleased to announce that Todd

Furtado Gates, Chairman of GATES, has been selected as a finalist in the 2008 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The award is based on achievements, performance, professional affiliations, and community involvement. The finalist receptions are held across the state of Florida in May and are honored at a black-tie awards gala in June at The Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando. GATES, with offices in Florida and the Republic of Panama, is a fully integrated construction, development and real estate company.

Kenneth M. Furtado has joined the J.L. Wallace Inc. team as a customer care technician. In this role, Furtado will assist project superintendents and serve as a customer relations specialist for J.L. Wallace and sister company Royal Corinthian Homes. Furtado brings more than 19 years experience in the construction industry to his new position. Previously he served as superintendent for a Lee County construction company. Furtado is a graduate of North Kingstown High School and a former sergeant for the United States Army.
