Albertson's sells five Lee County stores to Publix

Albertson's LLC announced last week that it has accepted an offer from Publix Super Markets, Inc. to purchase 49 of the company's stores in Florida. The company intends to operate its remaining Florida division stores with the ongoing support of its distribution center in Plant City and division office in Lake Mary, Florida.

The asset transaction is expected to be complete in September with the following Lee County stores being sold to Publix: • 26841 S. Tamiami Trail, Bonita Springs • 127 Cape Coral Parkway, Cape Coral • 1735 N.E. Pine Island Road, Cape Coral • 16970 San Carlos Blvd., Ft. Myers • 13401 Summerlin Road, Ft. Myers

Albertson's LLC is a privately held company that operates over 300 stores under the Albertsons banner in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Texas.
