Cancer Society needs volunteers

The American Cancer Society's Transportation Program: Road to Recovery is a vital patient service program in need of volunteers who are willing to drive cancer patients to and from their cancer treatments. Volunteer drivers are needed to ensure that all patients are getting the care that they desperately need to get back on the "Road To Recovery."

A successful Road To Recovery Program can be a tremendous asset to the community. Volunteers provide an essential and necessary service. Even the greatest medical advance is useless if the patient cannot get to treatment

The next training session for volunteers will be June 26 from 10 - 11:30 a.m., at the American Cancer Society office located at 4575 Via Royale Ste 110, Fort Myers. Please RSVP by June 19.

Requirements for volunteering include having a good driving record, a valid driving license, and a vehicle that is in good working condition. For more information, call Maureen Godin at 936-113 ext.115.
