BY FLORIDA WEEKLY STAFF news@floridaweekly.com

COURTESY OF THE BROADWAY PALM THEATRE The 'Wizard of Oz' comes to Broadway Palm.
The classic movie musical "The Wizard of Oz" is now on stage at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre through July 26.

The Wizard of Oz, based on the book by Frank L. Baum and the world famous 1939 film, chronicles the adventures of Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion and… Toto, too. You'll hear the songs from the score you know and love such as "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," "We're Off to See the Wizard" and "Follow the Yellow Brick Road."

Making her Broadway Palm debut as Dorothy is Megan Kip. Straight from playing the Emcee in Cabaret is John Ramsey, Jr. who will portray the extremely limber Scarecrow. Jason Sofge who played Nicely-Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls returns as the Cowardly Lion and the character of the Tin Man is played by Jonathan Goodman. Goodman recently performed in The Off Broadway Palm Theatre's "Lend Me a Tenor" and appeared as Joseph in last summer's "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat."
