Walk to raise funds for pediatric cancer

The "Wave of Hope" walk to benefit Barbara's Friends - the Children's Hospital Cancer Fund - will take place on Saturday, May 17 at Bowman's Beach on Sanibel Island.

The pre-registration fee for the 2K to 10 K walk is $25; walk day registration fee is $30. Children under 10 are admitted free of charge.

Day of walk registration is 7:30 to 9:00 a.m.; the walk begins at 9 a.m. Free water and refreshments will be available on the course and afterwards. The event will feature live music by Danny Morgan and free parking.
