Program to highlight family caregivers of older adults
The Alvin A. Dubin Alzheimer's Resource Center will hold an educational series for caregivers during the month of May.
"Caring Across Generations" will feature workshops on issues such as being an informed caregiver, making sense of legal matters, making the most of your money, and considering care throughout the illness.
The workshops will be offered from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays during May.
On May 20, Reina Schlager of Schlager, Sonntag, & Levin will speak about issues pertaining to financial resources and finding funds caregivers may not know are available.
During the final session on May 27, Elise Eifert of the Dubin Alzheimer's Resource
Center and Stacey Payne of the Lee County Sheriff's Office will talk about wandering and strategies for ensuring safety.
This workshop series is offered at no charge by the Dubin Alzheimer's Resource Center. Each session will be held at Encore Senior Village, 9461 HealthPark Circle, Ft. Myers. Participants must register. To register, please call (239) 437-3007.
