FGCU student exhibit at Alliance for the Arts

The Alliance for the Arts is giving Lee County the "First Look." "First Look" is the upcoming visual art exhibit at the Alliance featuring Senior Projects of Florida Gulf Coast University visual art students. An opening reception, free to the public, will be held on Friday, May 16th from 5 - 7 p.m. Also in attendance at the opening will be the new C.E.O. of the Alliance, Gary Conley.

The artwork created by FGCU visual arts students will be featured in the exhibit at the Alliance and were chosen by the Exhibition Committee from the Alliance. The artwork was previously on display at the FGCU Gallery. Featured artists include: Ellen Boliek, Jamie Brock, Chris Brown, Megan Christner, Kelly Cram, Justin Daris Crittenden, Adam Fichthorn, Victoria Grandy, Wendy McGhee, Jessica Osceola and Krista Robbins.

"First Look" will be on display at the Alliance for the Arts through June 6.

The Alliance for the Arts leads and supports the artists and arts organizations in our area as the state designated Local Arts Agency for Lee County. The Alliance for the Arts galleries are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays, located at 10091 McGregor Boulevard just south of Colonial Boulevard.
