Ramos-Williams The Multicultural Centre of SWFLrecently appointed Connie Ramos-Williams, CEO of Conric Holdings and Mickey Rivera of Lee Memorial Hospital, to Co- Chair the 9th Annual Back-To-School Festival & School Supply Giveaway. Each year a small committee of dedicated volunteers organize, fundraise, and host this charitable community event, which celebrates backto school and multiculturalism, as well as helps kids and families with their backto school needs. Last year's event drew a crowd of approximately 8,000 people and more than 2,000 kids received backpacks, crayons, glue, notebook paper, folders, pens and pencils.
Following a successful disaster preparedness drill Saturday, April 26, Steve Callari, Chair of Disaster Services, has resigned his position. He will stay active with the chapter in an advisory role. Callari has been with the Lee County chapter since 2002. An expert in mass care and sheltering, Callari took the lead in the chapter's response to Hurricane Charley in 2004 and has been atop the volunteer leadership ever since. He has been recognized both locally and nationally for his service.
Callari Myra Williams has joined the Children's Museum of Naples as development director. Williams brings more than 11 years of fundraising experience to her new position and is responsible for planning, developing and maintaining a comprehensive fundraising program for the museum. Initially, Williams will assist the C'mon board of directors with its capital campaign as well as grant writing and direct special fundraising project. For the past seven years, Williams served as the director of development for Planned Parenthood of Collier County Inc. She also has been involved with National Philanthropy Day since 1999.
