Susan Bennett, Addiction Services take top Image Awards

Bennett The Southwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association presented awards to public relations practitioners in its 2008 Annual Image Awards competition. The awards, which recognized the best public relations projects in the region last year, were presented at the annual awards ceremony held last week at Southwest Florida International Airport.

The top two awards:

• Grand All Image Award: "The SWFAS Campaign to Build a New Detoxification Center" by Kevin B. Lewis, CEO of Southwest Florida Addiction Services and Susan Bennett, APR, CPRC of Susan Bennett Marketing & Media, L.C. This project also won an Image Award.

• Grand Image Award: "A State of Denial" by Kevin B. Lewis, CEO of Southwest Florida Addiction Services and Susan Bennett, APR, CPRC of Susan Bennett Marketing & Media, L.C. This project also won an Image Award and a Judges Award.

The other awards presented were:

• Image Award and Judges Award: "Lee County Library System Amnesty" by Heather O'Connell, Hilde Adinolfo and Adecia Adams.

Lewis • Image Award and Judges Award: "Junior Achievement Publicity Campaign" by Priority Marketing and Junior Achievement.

• Image Award: "Aviation Day 2007" by the Lee County Port Authority.

• Award of Distinction: "Taylor Woodrow's Rock On Scramble and Jam" by Carolyn Rogers, APR and Taylor Woodrow.

• Award of Distinction: "Campaign to Increase Voter Turnout for the 2008 Presidential Preference Primary" by Vicki Collins and Joni Schopke.

• Award of Distinction and Judges Award: "Crowne Plaza Hotel Goes Green" by Samantha Scott.

• Award of Distinction: "Herocare Message Implementation" by Samantha Scott.

• Award of Distinction: "McCormack Brand Campaign" by Tom Tweed, Scott Qurollo and Wendy Payton-Enriquez.

• Award of Distinction: "LCEC Living the Values Campaign" by the LCEC Public Relations Team and LCEC Human Resources Team.

• Award of Distinction: "iROX Name and Logo Development" by Priority Marketing.

• Award of Distinction and Judges Award: "Saving Lives: The Campaign to Build a New SWFAS Detoxification Center" by Kevin B. Lewis, CEO of Southwest Florida Addiction Services, Chaos Productions and Susan Bennett, APR, CPRC of Susan Bennett Marketing & Media, L.C.

• Award of Distinction: "Resume and Portfolio Workshop" by Casey Francis, Amy Vaspasiano and Valerie Whitaker.
