Game fishing seminars at Lovers Key May 17
The International Game Fish Association will present a series of one-hour seminars on Saturday, May 17 at the Lovers Key State Park in conjunction with the Third Annual Kayak Fishing Classic. These clinics will be free and are geared toward the beginning angler, ages 6 to 16. Full Story
Kingfish tourney won by Team Wolcott Marine
The Fort Myers Beach Kingfish Shootout, held April 11-13 at Salty Sam's Marina, announced that Team Wolcott Marine were the event winners with 112 pounds of kingfish caught. Team Wolcott Marine's closest competitor was more than 40 pounds behind. The winning fishermen were, from the left are Ozzie Lesinger, Ozzie Fischer, Paul Michele, Christian Fischer, D.J. Wood. First prize, for the largest Kingfish, by weight, is a boat, motor and trailer valued at $50,000. Full Story
USTA serving up "tennis block parties"
May is National Tennis Month and to encourage people of all ages to pick up a racquet, the United States Tennis Association is serving up a community initiative across America. From coast to coast, community tennis organizations will host "tennis block parties" to encourage people of all ages and abilities to take to the court. Full Story
