WGCU partners with environmental attractions

WGCU Public Media in conjunction with the PBS TV program NATURE has partnered with several local attractions to offer admission discounts to encourage residents to visit.

Designed to motivate Southwest Florida residents to connect with nature, the NATURE Passport features money saving coupons for the Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium in Fort Myers, Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary and the Conservancy of Southwest Florida in Naples, and Mote Marine Aquarium in Sarasota. The passports are available at the environmental attraction locations. Visitors to these attractions may have their NATURE Passport validated. After visiting two or more attractions, the visitors may mail their Passport to WGCU for a chance to win NATURE prizes. The passports are valid through May 31.

NATURE airs Sunday nights at 8 p.m. on WGCU-TV30/DT31. The program has received over 400 awards from the television industry, parent groups and environmental organizations.

WGCU Public Media is a member supported service of Florida Gulf Coast University. It is the sole non-commercial public broadcasting television and radio service for Charlotte, Collier, Lee, Hendry and Glades counties. WGCU Public Media advocates the enrichment of life through arts, children's, educational, informational and public affairs programming and community outreach.
