Landmark Development starts work on lavish model home

Landmark Development Group's newest single-family model home in Mediterra will have a multi room master suite, two fireplaces and an outdoor living area with more than 1,100 square feet of covered space. The five-bedroom home Maraleste, being built in the Ravello neighborhood of estate homes, will also have six full baths, two powder baths, dining and living rooms, a club room and media room. It will also have a butler's pantry, a wine room and a wet bar with refrigerator, icemaker and barstyle seating.

Construction is expected to be completed in the fall.

Mediterra is the 1,697-acre masterplanned community created by Bonita Bay Group in North Naples.

The Maraleste will overlook the 14th fairway of the North Course, one of two Tom Fazio-designed championship golf courses at Mediterra. A floor-to-ceiling window wall in the model's living room will display the views upon entering the home.

It will have 7,668 square feet of airconditioned living space on two floors, and 10,262 total square feet, including the 1,131-square-foot outdoor living area, entry, porte cochere and two separate garages.

The model will feature interior design by Landmark Design and will have mudset stone flooring with decorative inlays; coffered, vaulted and groin-vaulted ceilings; and built-in bookcases and a wood floor in the wood-paneled club room. The home will also have a two-story foyer with a custom-designed staircase with wrought-iron railing, and a galleria on the ground floor will be embellished by archways and columns.

The master bedroom will have private access to a secluded garden, the site of an oversized spa. The suite will also have a massage/exercise room, an office for her, a morning kitchen and his-andher baths, each with vanity, shower and water closet. Her bath will also have a bidet, a double walk-in The kitchen will have a center island, granite countertops, custom wood cabinetry and double sinks. It will also offer professional appliances, including a full gas range and two dishwashers.

The adjoining family room will have 90-degree pocketing doors to the outdoor area. The media room, which will be located off the family room, will have state-of-the-art equipment and theaterstyle seating.

The second floor will have an overlook to the foyer and a loft with a built-in wet bar, TV and desk and sliding doors out to a balcony. One of the two secondfloor guest suites will be designed as a second master and will have a full bath with separate tub and shower and a walk-in closet.

The outdoor living room will have a fireplace, a cypress-clad ceiling and summer kitchen with built-in gas grill, sink, refrigerator and icemaker. A custom designed paver deck will surround the pool, which will have numerous bubbler fountains and built-in planters.

The Maraleste's architecture will complement the community's emphasis on recreating the intimacy, charm and classical style of the Mediterranean region of Europe. The model's views of the golf course reflect the community's emphasis on open space. Mediterra's overall master plan may include up to 950 residences and more than 1,000 acres of open space.

The model will have precast trim, a paver driveway, double iron-and-glass entry doors and a porte cochere connecting the two double-car garages.

The Maraleste is expected to be priced at $6,295,000, fully furnished.
