Lee BIA holding first 'Bricks & Sticks' fishing tournament

Open to Members and non-members of the Lee Building Industry Association, the 1st Annual "Bricks & Sticks" Fishing Tournament will be an event you do not want to miss.

Anglers and their guests will begin the festivities with a Captain's Meeting on May 9 at Tarpon Point Marina in Cape Coral. The meeting includes a Hooters dinner and open bar from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Live music starts at 7 and runs until 9:30 p.m.

The fishing tournament will take place on Saturday, May 10 with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. The tournament ends at 4 p.m. Anglers will be fishing for two Snook, two Redfish and two Ladyfish: "total length," photo release. Fishermen will also be able to participate in a big Redfish Calcutta.

The day will conclude with live and silent auction, from 5 to 9 p.m. The awards banquet will begin at 7 p.m. with an Outback Steakhouse dinner and open bar until 9:30. Sponsorship opportunities are available as well.

The cost is $180 per angler - $225 per angler after May 1.
