Olive Garden opens new Tuscan farmhouse-design in Cape

Olive Garden opens its newest restaurant in Cape Coral at 1910 Pine Island Road N.E. on Monday, April 21 at 4 p.m. The new restaurant is built in the company's Tuscanfarmhouse design - the first in Lee County.

Approximately 165 jobs will be created with the opening of the 247-seat, 7,399 squarefoot restaurant. According to the National Restaurant Association's 2008 Industry Forecast, restaurant sales in Florida are expected to grow 5 percent this year.

"Cape Coral continues to grow and prosper making it the perfect location for the newest member of Olive Garden's family of local restaurants," said Valerie Insignares, executive vice president of operations for Olive Garden.
