COURTESY PHOTO OAK Construction recently completed this facility for the Boy Scouts of America, Southwest Florida Council, in Charlotte County. Owen-Ames-Kimball Company has completed construction of a new pool building and site work for the Boy Scouts of America, Southwest Florida Council's Charlotte County Camp Miles facility.

The project included construction and accompanying site work of a building to service the existing pool. This building included showers, restrooms, a multipurpose room, an equipment room and space for general and janitorial storage. The site work involved a tie-in with the exterior pool surfacing, a new septic system and a new dry fire-suppression hydrant. OAK reduced its fee on the project as part of a community support program. With this approach, OAK charges services at submarket fees to nonprofits.

The OAK team was Frank Laino as job site superintendent, Ken Gentry as project manager and Frank Bell as general superintendent.

Eagle Concrete Systems recently began concrete work on Daniels Showroom Buildings A and B, located at 13351 Saddle Road in Fort Myers. Florida Lifestyle Homes awarded Eagle the contract to complete the structural steel, structural concrete and tilt panel systems for the two buildings.

Eagle will provide concrete pads, footing, slab, tilt wall panels, structural steel columns, bar joists, and roof deck system for both building A, which is 24,100 square feet and building B, which is 30,700 square feet.

Dave McNamara of Eagle Concrete Systems is the project manager, and Alonso Castillo is the project superintendent. J. Co. Design LLC provided the architectural design.

Abbey Carpet & Floor at Patricia's has been awarded a contract for the new Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union at 1730 Cape Coral Parkway.

The full-service flooring and interior design company will install 1,800 square feet of porcelain tile, 1,000 square feet of vinyl composite tile and 2,400 square feet of carpet in the new credit union branch, scheduled to open in June. Compass Construction Inc. is the general contractor.
