Sanibel Taste of the Islands Sunday
The 28th Annual Taste of the Islands to benefit CROW, the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife will be held Sunday, April 13 at the Sanibel Community Park.
This food competition and family fun day helps the wildlife hospital raise funds to aid sick and injured animals throughout the Sanibel-Captiva Islands and Lee County. The Island's best restaurants will be there to cook and to please the palates of Taste-goers. A distinct panel of judges will be sampling the food entries from the restaurateurs who vie for several awards presented.
The prestigious Taste of the Taste and People's Choice award are just two of the trophies awarded.
Charlie Brown's Coasters will make a return visit from 2006 to entertain the crowd along with opening band, None Other. The offical 2008 Taste T-shirt designed by local art talent CaroLyn, is a beautiful representation of the food-music-wildlife theme of the event.
Beverage Stations with keep parched palates pleased along with the food and fun offered for the day.
The event begins at noon 'til 5 p.m. No pets or coolers please.
