Record gold prices bring Thomas Jewelers out of retirement
Thomas Jewelers, a Cape Coral retail icon for more than 25 years, will hold a two day gold and platinum buying event April 3 & 4th in Cape Coral.
Precious metals are at all time high prices as the dollar has dropped in value in recent months.
Some jewelry and scrap owners have the unprecedented opportunity to get back more than they paid for their gold. Throughout the country, jewelers are hosting parties and events to allow people who have precious metals sitting around in drawers to cash in on the international demand for gold and platinum.
Thomas Jewelers served Cape Coral for more than 25 years before closing their doors in December. The store's owners, Linda and Lorry Delman decided to get back to work for just two days for this special event. They'll consider scraps and broken jewelry with or without stones.
The gold and platinum buying event takes place at the Quality Hotel, on the corner of Del Prado Blvd. and Cape Coral Parkway on Thursday and Friday, April 3 and 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
