Seaweed Gallery features Art Night

Theodore is an accomplished handpainted ceramics designer. She is well-known for her contemporary color palette (bright colors), clever patterns (whimsical) and unique ceramic shapes, ranging from hand-made garden mushrooms, to wall vases, clay flowers and garden snails.

"Your garden is as unique as you are, and your accents and décor should be just as original," says Theodore.

Sue Brenner of St. James City is another artist featured at Art Night. Her glass creations are interesting and unique. Her glass objects make sculptural or decorative statements, and are definitely "conversation starters". In fact her "Oscar Night" glass creation proudly displays a formal red dress. Her latest glassworks creations will be on display at the Seaweed Gallery.

In addition to Theodore and Brenner, enjoy the works of more than 60 local artists whose paintings, drawing, sculptures and furniture pieces fill the Gallery.

Refreshments and light treats will be served. Corky and Company, a local band whose music is fun and entertaining, will provide musical accompaniment. You'll no doubt hear some of the "old favorites."

Great Licks Ice Cream Shop at the Seaweed Gallery will be open during the evening's extended hours scooping up noneother than "Queenies" Homemade ice cream - a local favorite - made with pure and natural ingredients and delicious flavors. Admission is free.

Join Seaweed Gallery and the rest of the galleries in Matlacha every month for an enchanting evening, every 2nd Friday of the month through May. Come meet the artists, listen to wonderful music, enjoy refreshments and treats and all of the rest of the evenings' festivities.
