Local artists "Showing Off" at Art League

Fort Myers exhibit is a juried show

The Art League of Fort Myers will host an opening night reception for its new show, "Showing Off", on Friday, April 4 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the league gallery and gift shop located at 1451 Monroe Street in the downtown River District. Admission is free and all are invited.

"Showing Off" is a juried and judged fine arts show featuring the multi-media work of the Art League of Fort Myers. Member artists will be displaying their latest oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings as well as collages, prints, fiber works and photography - all original works of art. The show will continue during gallery hours until May 2. The gallery and gift shop are open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The Art League of Fort Myers has been operating in the downtown Fort Myers area since 1956. The league hosts workshops and still-life painting sessions, a variety of art classes, and sponsors monthly juried and judged art shows along with special exhibitions featuring well-known artists.
