Imaginarium kicks off new program for April
COURTESY PHOTO "Fridays After Five" at the Imaginarium allows families already geared up for the coming weekend, to kick it off at the Imaginarium with more than 50 interactive exhibits, a 3-D DIVE! movie, a stingray feeding and more.
Guests can enjoy the "SEA-to-SEE" Touch Tanks, a trio of marine touch tanks that includes a 600-gallon Stingray touch pool, an adjoining 400-gallon touch pool filled with crabs, sea stars and more, and a 10-gallon wheelchair-accessible touch tank. Experience close encounters with marine life and live demonstrations throughout the evening.
The Imaginarium offers hands-on fun for everyone! Get blown away in the "Hurricane Experience," walk through a thunderstorm, dig for dinosaur fossils, and get up close and personal with an assortment of animals including alligators, snakes, hissing cockroaches, and even a kinkajou. Drop by Fisheye Lagoon to feed the fish, ducks, geese, swans, and turtles. Younger visitors will have fun exploring the Tiny Town early-childhood area and perform their own show in our Puppet Theatre.
The Café Imaginarium has reopened and is offering a "Fridays After Five" Snack Pack. Enjoy a delicious hotdog, chips and soda for just $5!
Additionally, the Imaginarium will now be able to host special occasions on Friday nights in April until 8 pm. Book your birthday, graduation party or other special event at the Imaginarium on Fridays.
Museum admission is $5 for children (ages 3-12), $7 for seniors (age 55 & up), $8 for adults. The Dive! 3-D movie tickets are $3 each and include 3-D glasses. Stingray feedings are daily and cost $3 to participate in feeding. Museum members and children under the age of 3, are always admitted at no charge. The Imaginarium is located in historic Downtown Fort Myers at Cranford Avenue and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd and is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays through Saturdays, and Noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
