Willkommen, Bienvenue, Welcome!

Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre will sizzle as "Cabaret" hits the stage April 10 through May 31.

"Cabaret" is based on the autobiographical short stories of Christopher Isherwood. Music and lyrics are by John Kander and Fred Ebb. "Cabaret's" musical score includes the songs "Don't Tell Mama," "Money," "Two Ladies" and the title song, "Cabaret."

The show takes you on a journey to pre-war Berlin in the 1930s and tells the story of Sally Bowles, an eccentric singer, and her relationship with straightedged American writer, Clifford Bradshaw. They chase all their cares away at the Kit Kat Club, where everyone can forget all their troubles… momentarily.

Cape Coral resident John Ramsey, Jr. portrays the pivotal role of Emcee. He performed the role at Broadway Palm's sister theatre, the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre in Lancaster, Penn., and is reprising his role for the Florida audiences. Ramsey recently played the role of Brother Forte in "Monky Business" in The Off Broadway Palm Theatre to sold out houses. April Monte plays the role of Sally Bowles. Broadway Palm audiences will remember April from her performances in "Joseph… Dreamcoat," "CATS," "Miss Saigon," "Godspell" and "Stop the World - I Want to Get Off." Making his Broadway Palm debut is Kip Taisey as Clifford Bradshaw.

"Brian Enzman, Broadway Palm's artistic producer, directs Cabaret". Amy Marie Mc- Cleary is the choreographer. Orchestration and musical direction is by J.R. McAlexander. Costume design is by John P. White. Evan Adamson designed the set. Lighting design is by Russell A. Thompson.

Performances are Tuesday through Sunday in April. Starting in May, performances are Wednesday through Sunday evenings with selected matinees. Ticket prices range from $25 to $52. Group discounts are available for parties of 20 or more.
