Olive Garden Italian Restaurant has appointed Northport resident Jerrilynn Dean as general manager of the new restaurant located at 1900 Pine Island Road N.E. in Cape Coral. The Tuscan Farmhouse-design Olive Garden will open on Monday, April 21. As general manager, Dean will be responsible for leading a team that maintains the highest quality of service in the restaurant. Dean brings 19 years of restaurant experience to her new position. She has been with Olive Garden for more than 13 years, most recently serving as general manager of the Olive Garden located at 1341 Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte. She received an associate's degree in sports medicine from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colo. Dean is one of more than 600 managers who have trained at Olive Garden's Culinary Institute of Tuscany and visited its Riserva di Fizzano restaurant, which serves as the source of inspiration for many dishes on Olive Garden's menu.
