Gulf Coast Humane Society opens affordable vet clinic
The long-awaited opening of the new Gulf Coast Humane Society affordable veterinary clinic is just around the corner. Scheduled to open in April, the clinic will offer a variety of affordable veterinary services including health checks, spay/ neuter surgeries, vaccinations, heartworm & fecal testing, FIV and Feline Leukemia testing, heartworm and flea preventative products, and microchips. The GCHS Veterinary Clinic will also offer pet dental care in the very near future.
Gulf Coast Humane Society has partnered with two area veterinarians, Dr. Elton Gissendanner, a long-time friend of GCHS, and Dr. Hakim Hamici of Old 41 Veterinary Clinic. Under the direction of Practice Manager Tracey Esker, Dr. Gissendanner and Dr. Hamici will offer routine and preventative care services for dogs, cats, and rabbits. Animals housed in the shelter will also benefit from the new clinic and increased availability of veterinary services.
The clinic will begin scheduling spay and neuter surgeries and vaccination appointments on Tuesday April 1. To schedule an appointment for your pet, please call the clinic directly at (239) 332.2719. The clinic will officially open its doors for appointment-based services on Monday April 7.
Tours of the new veterinary facility will be available during the Clinic Grand Opening on Saturday April 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Staff will be on hand to schedule appointments and provide information about available services, fees, and hours. The Gulf Coast Humane Society Vet Clinic is located at 2010 Arcadia Street in Fort Myers, across Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard from Fleamasters Fleamarket.
