Theatre Conspiracy to get biblical
COURTESY PHOTO The cast of "The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged)" opens at Theatre Conspiracy's new home in Fort Myers on Friday, March 28. Theatre Conspiracy will present "The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged)" at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 28 at its new home, located at 2711 Park Windsor Dr. #302, in Fort Myers.
In this comedy, three actors perform the entire Bible, Old and New Testaments in less than two hours. From Eve to Exodus through the epistles, the show will explore deep theological topics such as: Was Jesus a good carpenter? Did Adam and Eve have navels? Did Moses really look like Charlton Heston?
Asked whether this show should be considered blasphemous Artistic Director Bill Taylor said, "Absolutely not, I wouldn't present it if I thought it was blasphemous, it's a play that is off-the-wall, it's zany but that's it."
The show runs March 28 through April 19 with performances Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. with select Saturday matinees at 2 p.m. on April 5 and 12. Tickets are $20 or $10 for students with proper I.D.
Theatre Conspiracy's new home is just north of Southwest Florida Regional Hospital off Evans Ave. It is located in the plaza just behind Sasse's Restaurant.
