Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb, is one of Jenkinson's more recent characters. Tickets are $35 each and can be purchased by calling BIG ARTS at (239) 395-0900 or at the MARKS Box Office, BIG ARTS. 900 Dunlop Rd., Sanibel.

Audiences will remember Jenkinson for his stunning portrayal of President Theodore Roosevelt last year. In 2006, he portrayed President Thomas Jefferson. Jenkinson conducts writing institutes, seminars on leadership and symposiums on the role of humanities in public education. He is currently scholar-in-residence at Lewis and Clark College in Portland Oregon. OnStage at BIG ARTS is a series of theatrical programs designed to promote enjoyment of theater arts and to provide live, professional theater to residents and visitors of Sanibel and Captiva. Jenkinson's appearance is sponsored by Susen and James Berg.
