Real estate company changes name

Reflects ties to vacation rental firm

The former Preferred Properties of the Islands has changed its name to "Royal Shell Preferred Properties" to better reflect its operational ties with sister company Royal Shell Vacations.

The companies represent a combination of property sales, purchases and vacation rental opportunities for customers worldwide, said Don DeLuca, Royal Shell Preferred Properties' broker.

"Many of the people who eventually settle on Sanibel and Captiva start out as vacationers who fall in love with the islands," he said. "So uniting these companies and now the re-naming was a natural evolution."

Royal Shell Preferred Properties' offices are at 1456 Periwinkle Way on Sanibel and 15050 Captiva Drive on Captiva. Royal Shell Vacations' offices are at 1547 Periwinkle Way and 14970 Captiva Drive.

Royal Shell Preferred Properties offers a full range of real estate services, including the listing, selling and assisting purchasers of residential and commercial properties, relocation assistance and vacation rental management. Vacation rental management services will continue to be offered through the Royal Shell Vacations' Web site at www.RoyalShell.com.
