Ramirez Froilan Ramirez, Jr. has been named General Manager at Sanibel Island's Casa Ybel Resort. Ramirez duties will include managing all aspects of the resort, including communications between the Board of Directors, owners, guests, associates and the community. He will also be responsible for developing, coordinating and administering policies and procedures, directing department heads, monitoring budget and the quality of Casa Ybel's products and services for maximum owner and guest satisfaction. Ramirez began in the housekeeping department at Casa Ybel in 1995. He was most recently Casa Ybel's resort manager and director of operations and revenue management. He succeeds Awilda Rivera who has accepted a position with another Coral Hospitality property, Villas Caleton in the Dominican Republic.
The Embassy Suites announced that James E. Breton has been appointed Executive Chef of the Embassy Suites Fort Myers - Estero. Breton joined the Embassy Suites Fort Myers - Estero in October as Sous Chef. Since the beginning his culinary aptitudes and hard work have made an immediate contribution to the food and beverage department. Prior to becoming a member of the Embassy Suites Hotel staff, Breton was the owner and chef operator of Prochefs Restaurant and Catering, a New Hampshire business. In addition, Breton's career path also included a stint as Executive Chef at two country clubs, The Nashua Country Club in New Hampshire, and The Houston Club in Texas. In 1982 he graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y.
