Sheriff Scott, Monk and Marie Hillmyer, Mayor Humphrey. Florida Gulf Bank feted the retirement of Maurice "Monk" Hillmyer, a legend in Southwest Florida business, sports and the community. Hillmyer directed U.S. Homes in Southwest Florida for 43 years and has always been an ardent benefactor for people in need. He, with long-time basketball coach Elmer Tremont, established The Hillmyer-Tremont Student Athlete Foundation that helps student athletes who have demonstrated leadership.
