Outpatient diabetes selfmanagement classes offered
After many successful years at Cape Coral Hospital, HealthPark Medical Center, and Lee Memorial Hospital, Lee Health Solutions is now offering it's comprehensive outpatient diabetes education classes at Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center. The monthly sessions provide 12 hours of instruction over a 3-day period and are taught by registered nurses and dietitians, who are also Certified Diabetes Educators. They cover everything someone with diabetes needs to know, from nutrition and medications to complications from the disease.
"Diabetes self-management education will benefit anyone with diabetes," said Rowe Hudson, Program Manager for Lee Health Solutions. "Even someone who has lived with diabetes for years will learn something new."
In addition to the new classes offered at Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center, programs continue to be offered at Cape Coral Hospital, HealthPark Medical Center and Lee Memorial Hospital.
