Red Sox at Boys & Girls Club event
The Crowne Plaza Hotel at Bell Tower host the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County "3rd Annual Evening with the Red Sox" event on Tuesday, Feb. 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The event is open to the public.
Mike Dee, Chief Operating Officer of the World Champion Boston Red Sox and guest speaker will be there for the evening, along with 'Wally' the team mascot and active and retired players. A live auction will feature multiple items up for bid, the most exciting of which are four tickets to a 2008 Red Sox vs. Yankee game to include accommodations and airfare, tickets on the 'Green Monster' and VIP tour of Fenway Park.
Sponsorships are still available and all the proceeds raised will go to assist the Boys & Girls Clubs with future programs and services. Tickets are $100.00 per person or $175.00 for a couple.
"This event is a great way to bring fun and sports together for a very worthy cause," said Scott Koenig, Chief Volunteer Officer of the Boys and Girls Club of Lee County. "As one of our two major annual events each year, we are looking forward to a successful evening and appreciate the Crowne Plaza's help."
