Former World Wildlife exec to speak

Kathryn Fuller, former president and CEO of World Wildlife Fund-US, will speak on conservation issues Tuesday, Feb. 19, 8 p.m. at BIG ARTS.

Fuller, extensively knowledgeable and broadly experienced, represents a new type of conservationist. She has worked in public policy, wildlife trade monitoring, and has held several positions in the U.S. Depart- ment of Justice.

"It used to be that the best training for conservation was a degree in biology," Fuller says. "While biology is still key to what we do, successful conservation nowadays also involves economics, international law, finance, diplomacy and social science - among other disciplines."

Tickets are $20.
