Beatty Beatty The law firm of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A. announced that Attorney Scott A. Beatty has become a Stockholder with the firm. Beatty concentrates his practice in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, including business torts, real estate litigation, construction and lien law litigation, contract disputes, collections, foreclosures, as well as securities litigation and arbitration. Beatty's active with various Florida Bar law-related education activities, including mock trial and Law Week. He received his undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University, cum laude, and his law degree from the University of Miami, cum laude. He is a member of the Christian Chamber of Southwest Florida and currently resides in Naples with his wife and children.

Cohen & Grigsby, P.C. Associate Maria I. Barbosa was recently appointed to the Opera Naples board of directors. Opera Naples is a professional regional opera company that currently produces three operas each season, featuring some of the nation's leading performing artists. Opera Naples also presents educational programs in the schools and for young artists interested in entering the opera field. Barbosa is in the Cohen & Grigsby Litigation Group. She focuses her practice on real estate, commercial and construction litigation law. Fluent in Spanish and proficient in French, she also works with many of Cohen & Grigsby's international clients.
