Actor/artist Dwayne Hickman, known to millions of Baby Boomers as the star of the classic television series, "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis", will bring his One-Man Art Show, exhibiting original oil paintings and limited edition canvas prints to the "Old Florida Gallerie" at the Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers.

Hickman will appear in the gallery on Saturday, Feb. 9 from 11 -5 p.m.

For his first gallery appearance in Fort Myers, Hickman will present a comprehensive collection of his original oil paintings and limited edition canvas giclée prints. He will also be unveiling several new images that he has recently completed. During the event he will enhance and dedicate all the original paintings and limited edition canvas prints purchased prior to and during the show.

"Olde Florida Gallerie" is the exclusive representative for Hickman's artwork in the Fort Myers area.

Although he has been in show business all of his life, Hickman's true passion has been art and architecture. However, his dream of pursuing a career in art was put on hold as his successful television and film career grew. In the late 1970's, Hickman joined the corporate ranks as a network executive with CBS Television. He left the network after ten years to produce and star in television movies, direct half-hour comedies and return to his first love… art and architecture.

His years of study and work have resulted in critically acclaimed images and in legions of avid collectors throughout the county, drawn to his exquisite detail and use of vibrant colors. Hickman's artwork has been featured on Good Morning America and in many national publications. His limited edition prints and original oil paintings are represented in galleries across the country and in many private and corporate collections.
