The Lee County Sheriff Lieutenant Ron Curtis recently became the first member of the agency to earn a Doctorate Degree.
For the past two-and-a-half years, Curtis has worked his way toward earning this prestigious degree while still managing to serve full time in the Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit. Curtis also works as an adjunct professor at Florida Gulf Coast University where he teaches courses in Justice Studies. His Ed.D is in Organizational leadership with a specialization in Conflict Resolution from Nova Southeastern University.
Curtis has worked in the Major Crimes Unit for the past twelve years and in the Lee County Sheriff's Office since 1990. He was promoted to lieutenant in 2003. Curtis is married with three children. He resides in Cape Coral.
