Following a distinguished career spanning more than three decades, Peter C. Burkert is retiring from the practice of law. Burkert & Hart, the law firm established by Burkert with Kim Hart, will undergo a name change to reflect Burkert's retirement. The new firm, The Law Office of Kim Patrick Hart, will continue to handle personal injury cases. Burkert began his legal career in 1977, after receiving his law degree from Florida State University. He entered the practice of personal injury law at Henderson, Franklin in 1977, remaining there until 1986, when he and Hart established Burkert & Hart. As an attorney, Mr. Burkert has concentrated his practice on representing injured workers. He is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Workers Compensation. During his career, he has served as chair of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Florida Bar.
