BIG ARTS gallery features acrylics and sculpture
Barbara Balzer's Three Graces The Founders Gallery will open an exhibit of work by Jean Dean and Barbara Balzer Jan. 3 through 30 at BIG ARTS, 900 Dunlop Road, Sanibel.
The artists' reception will be held Saturday, Jan. 19 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Award winning Jean Dean's colorful acrylics create the dangerous with the lovely to shake us from the expected, reflecting her life, beliefs, struggles, successes, and hope.
Barbara Balzer's clay, glaze, and resin sculpture collection Cradles, Lullabies, and Anatomy features polychrome twists on classical myths, nursery rhymes, and fairy tales.
Phillips Gallery hours are 1 to 4 p.m., Monday through
Saturday. Founders Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
