Legislative forum at FGCU

Members of the Southwest Florida regional legislative delegation - including House and Senate delegates from Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hendry, Lee and Sarasota counties - will gather Friday, Dec. 7 with community leaders from throughout the region to hear presentations on topics of regional importance, including: Cornerstone Report Card; Century Commission for a Sustainable Florida; Regional Approach to Economic Development; Hometown Democracy; Planning for the Future in Southwest Florida; and Florida's Climate Change Initiative.

The presentation will be held at Student Union Ballroom at Florida Gulf Coast University. Registration is from 8-9 a.m. with presentations running from 9 a.m. until 2.

Participants include:

• Members of the Southwest Florida regional legislative delegation

• Dr. Wilson Bradshaw, president, Florida Gulf Coast University

• Steve Seibert, executive director, Century Commission

• Charles Gauthier, AICP, Florida Department of Community Affairs

• More than 200 elected officials, business and community leaders, and interested
