Cattle Barons' Ball seeking volunteers

The 2008 Cattle Barons' Ball committee is looking for a few good volunteers to join the Cattle Crew for the 2008 Cattle Barons' Ball at the Red Sox/City of Palms Park on January 26, 2008 announced event Volunteer Coordinator Dawn Feldman.

It takes more than 100 volunteers working together to ensure that the event is a success, and while the event is sold out there are still a variety of opportunities for the community to get involved.

"We need people to help with set-up, check-in, dinner service, silent auction, and various booths at the event," said Feldman. "This isn't an easy task and it takes a great Cattle Crew to ensure a successful evening."

For more information about volunteer opportunities please contact Dawn Feldman, (239) 822-5885.

Funds raised at the event go to the Lee County American Cancer Society. In its fifth consecutive year, the Lee County Cattle Barons' Ball has grown to become the largest in the state of Florida, raising more than $2 million in the first four years.
