Badly needed mental health unit to open
Within the next seven months, Southwest Florida will have a hospital unit geared toward treating geriatrics with behavorial health issues. Grant will help make detox center a reality
Southwest Florida Addiction Services is $250,000 closer to building a new detoxification center and outpatient treatment facility after a donation from The Kleist Family Foundation. Chef creates gingerbread masterpieces to help kids
Designed with gumdrops, candy canes and frosting, the Olde Hickory Golf and Country Club's annual gingerbread auction brought in more than $24,000 last Sunday. Lee County prescription drug discount program still available
County residents can use free discount cards to save money on prescription drugs
The Lee County Department of Human Services would like to remind local residents that the Lee County Prescription Discount card is still available. Lee County, in partnership with the National Association of Counties, introduced the card about a year ago and last month almost 2,000 people used the card to save approximately 18 percent on their prescriptions.
