Recycling mandatory for businesses
New law takes affect Jan.1

COURTESY PHOTO Lee County Material Recycling Facility The Lee County Solid Waste Division is holding the first workshop on the requirements of the newly adopted mandatory business recycling ordinance for property managers, business owners, and/or those individuals responsible for the garbage collection. The new law takes effect Jan. 1 and the Solid Waste Division wants to help businesses and property owners/ associations in unincorporated Lee County on how to implement a successful recycling program and answer questions related to meeting the requirements of the ordinance.
The workshops are free and will held throughout the Lee County:
• Dec. 3 at South County Library, 21100 Three Oaks Parkway
• Dec. 4 at North Fort Myers Library, 2001 North Tamiami Trail NE
• Dec. 5 at East Lee County Library, 881 Gunnery Road, Lehigh Acres
