Mouth artist coming to Lee Memorial

The Arts in Healthcare Program at Lee Memorial Health System will host artist Tony Ryals, who paints with his mouth, at the Lee Memorial Health System. A rare birth defect called Arthrogryposis, left Ryals's arms and legs virtually useless. But being raised with great parents, understanding friends, and very special teachers, Ryals has learned to adapt and use the attributes that he has. His message to people of all ages is that anything is possible and "Never Give Up."

Ryals' art show will be on display Gulf Coast Hospital Dec. 10 and 11 and at Southwest Regional Medical Center Dec. 12 through 14. His art exhibit will be open from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. Come meet Ryals, ask questions, watch him paint, and purchase that special piece of art for a Holiday gift.
