Local children's author sets book signings

Fort Myers author and illustrator Karen Freysinger will appear locally to tout her newest children's book "Adventures of Countess Pigula 'Her Royal Imagination'" Dec. 8 at Borders Book Store, 10600 Tamiami Trail, North Naples and Dec. 17 at the Sanibel Island Bookshop, 1571 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel Island. Both book signings begin at 11 a.m.

Freysinger says her book "is a dynamic and energetic children's picture book that portrays the every day adventures of a very whimsical guinea pig, her love of life and the value she places on family and friendship."

This is the first book in this series and is geared for ages pre-school through 3rd-4th grade.

Freysinger has participated in many book autographing events throughout Florida and New York and recently participated at the Miami Book Fair with Borders Book Store. She also gives presentations in local public schools and libraries on guinea pig care for the beginning guinea pig enthusiast.
