Cape gallery to feature wildlife artist

The Friends of the Cape Coral Library announce a new exhibit which runs throughout December. The Gallery, located at the Cape Coral Library, 921 SW 39th Terrace, off Mohawk Boulevard, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Featured artist is Tom Allen. Research biologist, butterfly expert and wildlife artist. All of these titles describe Tom Allen, who resides in Cape Coral. His acrylics and carvings of owls, butterflies and other Florida wildlife will be on display in December.

Allen holds degrees in both Entomology and Wildlife Management and has been a wildlife research biologist. He currently works for Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission researching burrowing owls.
