Grants available for nonprofits
Southwest Florida Community Foundation
The Southwest Florida Community Foundation Founders Grant Cycle deadline for applications is Nov. 6.
All applications must be completed and received by mail or delivered to the Community Foundation office, at 8260 College Parkway Suite 101, no later than 4 p.m.
The Founders Grant Cycle is open to all nonprofit organizations with 501(c) 3 status serving primarily Lee, Charlotte,
Glades and Hendry counties.
This grant cycle targets programs and projects
with smaller

Last year's Founders Grant Cycle awarded a total of more than $106,000 in grants to 25 nonprofit organizations.
The Southwest Florida Community Foundation has been connecting donors and their philanthropic aspirations with evolving community needs for more than 30 years. With more than $55 million in assets and 313 funds, the Community Foundation has given more than $25 million in grants and scholarships throughout the Southwest Florida community.
City of Fort Myers
The City of Fort Myers has $224,000 available for nonprofit youth service groups. The City Council made the funds available at the final budget hearing last month. Applications and instructions to apply for the Community Agency Support Program are available online at www.cityftmyers.com. Additional assistance is available by calling the Budget Office at 332-6792.
Completed applications for CASP will be accepted until Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 5 p.m. by the City of Fort Myers Budget Office, 2200 Second Street. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered for funding. Submission of an application does not guarantee funding.
The City's Community Agency Funding Committee will consider funding for agencies that provide youth services; basic subsistence programs such as food, housing and emergency shelter; and programs providing the basic skills to promote independent living and selfsufficiency within the City of Fort Myers community.
